哈士奇可不会像人一样通过明确的语言来表达自己内心的想法，小哈的交流主要是通过表情、声音、肢体语言来向对方传递所要表达的意思。它耳朵眼睛、耳朵、四肢、尾巴等都成为它传递信息的主要工具，而且每一个肢体动作所包含的意思都不一样。人们都说，“眼睛是心灵的窗户”，这对于哈士奇来说也不例外。当它目光敏锐并且紧紧的顶着其它的人或者宠物狗时，这就表示它比较愤怒眼神中带有挑战的意思；如果你发现哈士奇的眼神飘忽不定，不敢直视，这就表示它在躲避正面冲突或者是其它的事情；小哈还会耷拉着眼睛，表现出衣服无辜可怜的样子，就像在乞求主人某件事情一样。哈士奇害怕的时候全身的毛发会竖起；它要攻击的时候，腿会紧绷，耳朵竖起，身体稍稍向前压；当小哈觉得舒服的时候，它还会把两条前腿很舒服的向前拉伸并且把身体向下压，后腿直直的屁股撅得高高的；当小哈表示强烈的支配性、攻击性和警惕心时，还会将尾巴高高的直立起来；如果恐惧或者是顺从，它就会放低尾巴或是夹在两条后腿之间，同时放低屁股半弯后腿。哈士奇的耳根可以旋转，当它听到感兴趣或者是什么奇怪的声音时，就会把耳朵转向声音来的方向。
